Delta police are looking for witnesses to a fatal traffic accident that occurred on Ladner Trunk Road on July 6.

Delta police are looking for witnesses to a fatal traffic accident that occurred last week.

At around 9:00 a.m. on July 6, Delta police and firefighters responded after a collision between a tandem dump truck and a black Pontiac Sunfire in the 9800 block of Ladner Trunk Road resulted in both vehicles going into the ditch.

The passenger of the Sunfire, a 17-year-old male from Langley, died at the scene as a result of his injuries. The driver, a 23-year-old female from Langley, was transported to hospital with serious injuries that are not believed to be life threatening.

Investigators with Delta Police’s traffic section are looking to speak to anyone who may have witnessed the collision or the events leading up to it. Anyone with information is asked to call Constable Grayson Smith at 604-946-4411.
