Dog killed in home invasion

GUILDFORD - A pit bull guard dog was beaten to death during a targeted home invasion in Guildford Sunday night.

Police say they received a report of a robbery involving two masked men forcing their way into a home in the 10100-block of 156th Street around 9 p.m. Sunday.

Two women were in the home at the time. An elderly woman suffered no injuries, while the other woman, 25, suffered minor injuries to her head.

Paquet said the suspects "beat the dog to death," adding "robbery seems the obvious motive at this time."
