Gerard Bremault new Surrey Board of Trade chair

SURREY — Gerard Bremault was inducted as the Surrey Board of Trade’s 2014-2015 chair during its 50th annual AGM and president’s dinner on June 18.

Bremault is the CEO of the Centre for Child Development, Child Development Foundation and Sophie’s Place. He will be the 51st chair of the SBoT and will serve until June 2015.

Shelley Besse, president of Envision Financial, was inducted as first vice-chair.

New faces joining the board of directors include Arvinder Bubber (owner of A.S. Bubber & Associates), Richard Dendy (VP of commercial banking for BMO), Kevin Falcon (executive VP of Anthem Capital Corp.), Aubrey Kelly (president and CEO of Surrey City Development Corp.), Jay Rao (environmental group manager for Levelton Consultants) and Dr. Greg Thomas (owner of G3 Consulting).

Re-elected to the board of directors were Marlyn Graziano (director of external and government affairs for KPU), Chuck Keeling (VP of stakeholder relations and responsible gaming for Great Canadian Gaming Corp.) and Shirley Samujh (senior advisor of stakeholder relations, strategic planning and public affairs for TransLink).
