A young girl is safe after taking calling police when some men told her to get in their car.

On May 18, at about 1:45 p.m., police responded to a call in the 8500-block Brooke Road in North Delta.

A 16-year-old girl was walking northbound on Brooke Road, near 85 Avenue, when a white, older-model pick-up pulled over to the side of the road.

The passenger in the rear of the vehicle rolled down his window and told the girl to get into the truck.

She yelled back that she was calling 911, and did so. The vehicle fled northbound on Brook Road and was last seen westbound on Nordel Way.

The three male suspects are described as "scrubby" looking Caucasians in their 40s.

Police conducted patrols of the area but no vehicle matching the description was located.

The teen did the right thing by calling police immediately using 911.
