Police are investigating after a girl was struck by a car near the Rosemary Heights Crescent and 34 Avenue intersection Thursday morning.

The girl, who police described as in her early teens, was transported to hospital. RCMP Cpl. Scotty Schumann told Peace Arch News that the girl was released from hospital that morning with minor injuries.

"An adult female was the driver, she remained at the scene," Schumann told PAN Thursday. "The pedestrian was in a crosswalk but we're still investigating to determine where the fault lies."

RCMP say the call came in at 7:40 a.m.
