Green Party of Canada Leader Elizabeth May plans to be in the South Surrey-White Rock riding Saturday afternoon.
The meet-and-greet – set for 2:30-4 p.m. at the Crescent Coffee House, 12219 Beecher St. – is in support of candidate Larry Colero prior to Monday’s federal byelection.
Colero is among seven candidates voters will be choosing from on Monday, when they cast their opinion on who should replace former Conservative MP Dianne Watts, who resigned her seat in September to run for leadership of the BC Liberals.
May’s visit to the riding will follow three other leaders, after two visits each by Prime Minister Justin Trudeau (Liberal) and Andrew Scheer (Conservative), and attendance at Tuesday’s all-candidates meeting by Christian Heritage Party Leader Rod Taylor, who is also a candidate.
Others vying for the South Surrey-White Rock seat are Kerry-Lynne Findlay (Conservative); Gordie Hogg (Liberal); Michael Huenefeld (Progressive Canadian); Jonathan Silveira (NDP) and Donald Wilson (Libertarian).
Polls will be open from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. Monday.
