As half of Langley grapples with the storm hitting the South Coast of B.C., eastbound lanes on Highway 1 are partially blocked.
At approximately 1:25 p.m., Drive B.C. reported a fallen tree is impacting multiple eastbound lanes through Langley just before 248 Street.
"Expect delays and use caution when passing through the area. Crews on scene and en route," Drive B.C. posted online.
Environment Canada issued a special weather statement on Sunday, Nov. 3, warning of rainfall intensity overnight and into Monday morning.
People should also watch for possible washouts near rivers, creeks and culverts.
Parts of Metro Vancouver are expected to see strong southeasterly winds on Monday morning, followed by strong west to northwest winds Monday afternoon. Potential high winds, with gusts of up to 70 km/h on Monday, may cause tree damage and lead to power outages.
