Man struck in Surrey hit and run

Police looking for light-coloured Toyota that hit a man in an electric wheelchair Friday night.



A elderly man was taken to hospital Friday (Nov. 30) night after being hit by a car.

The 76-year-old man was found by the side of the road at 132 Street and Huntley Avenue in North Surrey.

Surrey Mounties are looking for a light-coloured Toyota that fled the scene, leaving the man unconscious at the roadside.

He was rushed to hospital in serious, but since stabilized and has non-life threatening injuries.

Police say the suspect vehicle will likely have visible front end damage. It was raining heavily at time of the accident.
