A missing Abbotsford teen was safely located in Surrey tonight and will be returned to Abbotsford.

Destiny Gettings was reported missing yesterday (Thursday). Family members reported that she had not been seen since late Tuesday evening, and there had been no social media contact involving Gettings since she left her central Abbotsford home.

She left with a cellphone but few other belongings.

Earlier today, the Abbotsford Police Department (APD) received information that Gettings was seen in Guildford Town Centre mall in Surrey on Wednesday evening.

They attended a hair salon and subsequently left the mall in a taxi.
