Delta police are asking the public for CCTV and dash camera video of a two-car collision that resulted in the death of a man just days before Christmas.
According to a DPD press release issued Thursday morning (Jan. 9), a red 2004 Buick Century was pulling out of the Wendy’s parking lot to turn left onto Scott Road heading southbound at about 6:25 p.m. on Sunday, Dec. 22 when it was struck on the driver’s side by a black 2016 Chrysler 300 travelling north.
Police say the elderly driver of the Buick passed away several days later.
Investigators are looking to obtain video from security cameras in the area and dash-mounted cameras in vehicles travelling through the 9300-block of Scott Road between 6:15 p.m. and 6:30 p.m., as well as speak with anyone who may have witnessed the crash.
Anyone with video or information related to the incident is asked to contact the Delta Police Department at 604-946-4411 and quote file number 2024-24064.
