The storm has knocked out power to thousands across the region and some schools have been closed as a result.
As of 11:15, power is restored at:
- Fraser Heights Secondary
- Elgin Park Secondary (classes resume at noon)
- Hazelgrove Elementary
- Chantrell Creek Elementary
- Prince Charles Elementary
- Bothwell Elementary
Power remains out at:
- Clayton Heights Secondary
- Pacific Heights Elementary
- Royal Heights Elementary
- East Kensington Elementary
- Coast Meridian Elementary
- Frost Road Elementary
