Surrey Eagles pull out second consecutive win

SOUTH SUREY – After starting the BCHL season with six straight defeats, the Surrey Eagles have won their last two with their latest being a 3-2 overtime win over the Salmon Arm Silverbacks on Wednesday (Oct. 8).

Blaine Neufeld’s team started out slow giving up two goals in the first period to Carson Bolduc and Josh Blanchard.

The Eagles came back in the second period with an unassisted Chase McMurphy goal and Trevor MacLean.

Joseph Drapluk ended the game with a goal 12 seconds before the first overtime period came to a close.

The team doesn’t play again until Sunday at 4 p.m. when they host Trail.
