Surrey firefighters fight townhouse blaze

Nobody was injured and fire investigators are trying to determine how it started, Assistant Chief Brian Woznikoski said.

Two townhouses damaged in Monday morning fire in Surrey

SURREY — The occupants of two Guildford townhouses have been displaced from their homes following a two-alarm fire early Monday morning at Highpoint Court.

Extra firefighters were called in to fight the blaze at 14840 100th Ave., shortly after 8 a.m.

Nobody was injured and fire investigators are trying to determine how it started, Assistant Chief Brian Woznikoski said.

"We knocked down the fire fairly quickly."

Two townhouses were damaged and emergency social services is "taking care" of the residents, Woznikoski said.
