SURREY — A Surrey man sustained a non-lethal stab wound in his upper back shortly after 4:30 p.m. on Thursday near the intersection of 133rd Street and 100th Avenue.
The victim is known to police and did not cooperate with the investigation.
“At this point, it’s a bit of a challenge,†said Surrey RCMP Cpl. Bert Paquet. “He made it very clear he was not going to speak to our officers.â€
Police could not find any witnesses in the area and the investigation is still ongoing.
“We’re trying to shed some light on what appears to be a targeted assault, but it is somewhat challenging without the cooperation of our only victim,†Paquet said.
