Surrey mom pleads for help to catch son's killer

SURREY — The grieving mom of a Surrey man who was shot in the head while sitting in a car parked in a Whalley driveway last July 23rd is pleading for people with information that could help solve this crime to contact police.

Police believe Jatinder "Michael" Sandhu, 28, was an innocent victim. He was killed in the 14300-block of 90A Avenue.

Sandhu was Surrey's fifth homicide victim of 2016. He did not have a criminal record.

"It's devastating, so hard," Kal Sandhu said of her loss.

"He was very loving, caring, very respectful," she said of Jatinder. "Helpful, kindhearted."
