Surrey RCMP seeking witnesses to fatal crash

A young man died Sunday morning after the black Saturn he was driving crashed into a utility pole near 72 Avenue and King George Boulevard.

SURREY — Surrey Mounties are looking for witnesses to a fatal traffic crash in Newton early Sunday morning.

A young man died after the black Saturn he was driving smashed into a utility pole in the 7200-block of King George Boulevard, at about 5:19 a.m. His name was not released. No one else was in the car.

Police ask anyone with information to contact the Surrey RCMP at 604-599-0502.
