Surrey stabbing victim waves down ambulance for help

Police are looking for three Indo-Canadian men who were seen taking off north on 148th Street in a dark green Ford pickup truck.

A stabbing victim waved down an ambulance for help as it was passing on King George Boulevard on Tuesday afternoon.

SURREY — A stabbing victim waved down an ambulance for help as it was passing by on King George Boulevard on Tuesday afternoon.

Surrey RCMP Sergeant Alanna Dunlop said the victim, a 20-year-old Surrey man, had been stabbed in the leg. He was a passenger in a truck en-route to hospital when the ambulance was flagged down near 94A Avenue just after 2 p.m. He was taken to hospital, in stable condition.

Dunlop said the police investigation led officers to the neighbourhood of 77th Avenue and 148th Street.

She said the stabbing "appears targeted" and police are looking for three Indo-Canadian men who were seen taking off north on 148th Street in a dark green Ford pickup truck.
