SURREY — A Surrey woman was taken to hospital Tuesday afternoon after being bitten on the arm by a dog.

It happened in the 13600-block of 56A Avenue, shortly before noon.

Surrey RCMP Corporal Scotty Schumann said it’s “unknown what the breeds involved were.”

“It appears one dog escaped from inside its residence while its owner was speaking to guests at the front door,” Schumann said.

“The dog from the residence approached two other leashed dogs nearby and a dog fight between all dogs ensued. The dog owner from the residence attempted to separate the fighting dogs and was bitten on the arm by one of the leashed dogs.”
