A Surrey woman has been ordered to stand trial for the murder of her mother last November.

Gloria Zerbinos, 29, is charged with second-degree murder in the death of her mom, 43-year-old Panagiota Zerbinos.

Panagiota was found dead Nov. 8, 2012 inside a home near 84 Avenue and 148A Street. Gloria was arrested and charged two days later.

Gloria was ordered to stand trial after a three-day preliminary hearing in Surrey Provincial Court this week. There is a publication ban on evidence from preliminary hearings.

The case will now proceed to B.C. Supreme Court. A trial date has not been set.
