GUILDFORD - WorkSafeBC is investigating a construction accident in Surrey Monday morning where a load fell from a crane and injured three people.

Paramedics and police officers arrived on scene around 10:35 a.m. to find three workers injured, but conscious, according to Surrey RCMP spokesman Cpl. Bert Paquet.

The three people were taken to a local hospital as a precaution, Paquet said, but their condition or the extent of their injuries is unknown.

WorkSafeBC has sent an investigator to the site and is expected to provide more details later Monday.
