Two hurt in North Surrey

Two people are recovering from serious wounds after being stabbed in North Surrey on the weekend.

On Sunday (Feb. 7) at about 10:15 p.m., Surrey RCMP were called to the 11300-block of Surrey Road on a report of a stabbing.

When Mounties arrived, they found a 62-year-old man and a 30-year-old woman suffering from stab wounds.

They were taken to hospital with non-life threatening injuries.

Initial investigation has revealed that an altercation occurred between the two victims and another individual resulting in the stabbing.

A man has since been arrested and is facing charges related to the assault.
