UPDATE: Missing girl found

A 16-year-old girl who went missing on Wednesday, was found in Vancouver Friday morning.

"Surrey RCMP confirms that the (Sarah Elizabeth Lauzon) who was reported missing on Dec. 11 was located early this morning (Friday, Dec.13) in Vancouver and is safe," Surrey RCMP said in a release Friday. "Police would like to thank the public and the media for their assistance."

Mounties are asking for public help in finding a young girl who went missing this week.

On Wednesday, Dec. 11, Sarah Elizabeth Lauzon left her home, and hasn't been seen or heard of since then.

She is described as a 16-year-old Caucasian, 5'8", about 150 lbs., with blond hair.

At the time of her disappearance, she was wearing blue jeans and a navy blue hooded sweatshirt with "Tupper" and "Sarahbear" written on the arm.

"Our investigation has revealed that she might be staying with a friend, however, we want to confirm her whereabouts and well being," said Cpl. Bert Paquet of the Surrey RCMP.
