Surrey firefighters battled a stubborn house fire during a snow storm Monday morning in Whalley.
The fire broke out in an abandoned home in the 10900 block of 144 St. and according to witnesses, was filled with garbage, furniture and other refuse.
The fire was upgraded to a third alarm and took firefighters more than three hours to contain and to get access inside the home.
There were no reports of injuries
