Snowfall expected to turn to rain by mid afternoon

The morning commute was treacherous in Surrey with up to 10 cm of snow falling overnight throughout the region.

Tow truck drivers were kept busy with numerous calls for minor accidents and vehicles stuck in the snow.

The forecast is for the snow to turn to rain by mid afternoon.
