White Rock RCMP seek info on recent robbery/assault

WHITE ROCK — Police are seeking the public’s help locating a suspect in a recent robbery in White Rock that resulted in a female being assaulted last Friday night.

On March 27, White Rock RCMP responded to a call at 10:39pm that someone had been robbed outside of the KFC located at 1531 Johnston Road.

When officers arrived on scene, they found two female employees that had been robbed while closing up. They said an unknown male approached one of them demanding money. As he demanded the second female's purse, the first attempted to unlock her vehicle and was struck in the face by the suspect. He then fled on foot.

One of the females was later taken to hospital, where she was treated and released.

The suspect is described as a white male aged between 20 and 25 years old. He was wearing a grey jacket at the time. His vehicle was described as white in colour though the make and model are unknown.
