Woman struck and killed on King George Boulevard

Speed or alcohol are not believed to be factors in Nov. 19 incident.

A woman was killed on the weekend after being struck by a car on King George Boulevard.

On Saturday (Nov. 19) at about 6 p.m., a 35-year-old woman was struck by a southbound Jeep Cherokee at 79 Avenue and King George Boulevard.

The victim was wearing dark clothing and was not using a crosswalk at the time.

A nurse who witnessed the accident stopped to perform CPR before emergency crews arrived. The victim was transported to hospital where she died.

Speed and alcohol do not appear to be factors in the accident.
