MCMULLEN, Alvina. Born April 2, 1936 in Linaria, AB passed away unexpectedly at her home on August 22, 2012 in Delta, BC at the age of 76. The family takes comfort in knowing that she has now rejoined her parents Theresa and Arley Jack, and her father Eugene Hamel, as well as her husband Fred, and daughter Michele. She is lovingly remembered by her daughter Carmen (Peter) Murrin; grandchildren Connor and Curtis; brothers Gary (Sue) Hamel and Don (Kathy) Jack; sister Linda (Jack); sister-in-law Denise (Ron) Esson; as well as many nieces and nephews. A very special thank you to Barb for her many years of love and support. Alvina was deeply loved by her large extended family and will be forever remembered for her warmth and kindness. These traits attracted life-long friendships and built a strong family foundation around her. Alvina enjoyed playing cards, going to movies, reading, and baking. Her faith was strong and we know that her lifelong commitment to her faith now provides her the rewards she so greatly deserves. May you rest in peace. Funeral prayers will be held on Thursday Sept 6, 2012 at 6:00pm at Immaculate Conception Parish 8842 119 street, Delta, BC. with Funeral Mass Friday September 7, 2012 at 11:00am at Immaculate Conception Parish - reception to follow. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Alvina's memory to the Canadian Ehlers-Danlos Syndrome Association.
