Arthur Jenkins

On Friday August 30, dad, Arthur Jenkins passed peacefully in his sleep. He is now in the presence of our lord and savior and his daughter Sandra who predeceased him. Arthur was gentle, kind, loving and revered in his faith and compassion to the end. Arthur was born in New Westminster in 1923. He served our great nation in WWII in England, Italy and The Netherlands. He returned home safely and married his sweetheart Victoria. The pair celebrated their 71st wedding anniversary on June 26 of this year. They raised their family in Cloverdale and he retired from the New Westminster School District as a finishing carpenter in 1988.
Arthur is survived by his loving wife Vicky, his sons Brian and Denis, his grand children Christopher, Jason, Kory Jennifer, Dustin and Tammy as well as twelve great grandchildren and two great-great grandchildren.
A celebration of life will be held at Hillside Church, 5950 179th St Surrey, Saturday September 21st at 11:00 am. In lieu of flowers donations can be made to Cystic Fibrosis.
