Jerry carried many talents including teaching, figure skating, singing, dancing, not to mention his amazing artistic ability and lifelong devotion to the church and community. Throughout the years of his travels he brought sunshine to all he met and will always be remembered. He was predeceased by mother Viola and father John Harasym, sister Rosemary Harper; is survived by nieces Leah (Mar, Blayse, Max) Harper, Angela Harper, great niece Malikiya Harper, and great nephews Latiyfe, Kiseriyan, and Jahziyon Harper, as well as numerous extended family with the Salesians of Don Bosco and numerous friends throughout Canada and USA. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated 7:00 pm Tuesday August 30, 2016 at Our Lady of Good Counsel Parish 10460 – 139th St., Surrey, B.C. God saw him getting tired, a cure was not to be. He wrapped him in his loving arms and whispered ‘Come with me.’ He suffered much in silence, his spirit did not bend. He faced his pain with courage, until the very end. He tried so hard to stay with us but his fight was not in vain, God took him to his loving home and freed him from the pain. A special thank you to those who helped him in his journey home.
