It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Dennis at Kin Village, Delta on January 13, 2018 with his family by his side.
Dennis is predeceased by his parents, Alfred and Sigga Freeman and four siblings, Joy, Calvin, Floyd and Gail.
He is survived by his wife, Barbara, of 53 years and his children; Shaun (Beverley), Jodi (Scott), his grandson Reese and step-grandson Sean. He is also survived by one brother, Irvin and many nephews and nieces.
Dennis was born in Lundar, Manitoba, was educated in Winnipeg and began his career as a life insurance agent there. He and his family were transferred to Vancouver in 1967 and remained in the lower mainland. They moved to White Rock in 2002 where he enjoyed many afternoons walking by the ocean.
Dennis spent his life in the insurance, financial planning business and loved his chosen career. While employed he and Barbara travelled to many world wide conferences hosted by the industry.
Dennis loved his family and spent many various winter vacations with them and summer vacations in the interior of BC.
He was a kind and gentle soul who loved to travel, read, walk and enjoy his family, especially his beloved grandson, Reese.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to BC Alzheimer's Society.
No Service by request, a private family visitation was held.
