TAYLOR, Edith

It is with great sadness that we announce the sudden passing of Edith Taylor. Edith was born April 26, 1932 in New Westminster BC to Anton and Josephine Plankl. She lived her entire life between New Westminster and Chilliwack. Edith worked as a bookkeeper at Bucharts and Vanderpol Eggs where she retired when they relocated to Abbotsford. Mom was a strong woman who overcame many obstacles.

She was very loyal to her family. She loved watching sports, especially the BC Lions and the Canucks. She also enjoyed playing solitaire, tending her plants, crafting and listening to her oldies music. Edith was predeceased by her two sons Ernie and Chris and is survived by her son Rob (Lynn), daughter-in-law Becki, grandchildren James (Amanda), Melissa (Colin), Tim (Nichole), Katie (Jordan), Valerie (Ken) and 9 great grandchildren. Mom spent her last 10 months in Cascade Lodge in Chilliwack. We are very grateful to the staff for making her feel loved and cared for at the end of her life. Especially the 3rd floor staff. You are all very special people. Thank you also to Dr. Bartel for your care of Mom. There is no service as per her request.
