It is with great sadness that the family of Fran Stevenson announces her passing after a brief but courageous battle with cancer on February 12, 2018.
Fran is predeceased by her mom and dad Robert and Ruth Duehmig and sister Grace Duehmig.
She will be lovingly remembered by her husband and best friend Harry, her son Matthew and daughters Christie and Jackie and of course the apple of her eye, her grandson Stanley.
Fran was born in Yorkton Saskatchewan, with a brief move to Winnipeg and then in 1969 made the move to B.C. A career in hairdressing that spanned over 40 years, building on those friendships with her clients was a constant.
Fran comes from a large family of brothers and sisters whom will always remember her kind heart and generous nature.
Leaving behind brothers Roger, Robert, Charles, Chris and sisters Irene, Patty and Cathy as well as many nieces and nephews. Fran had many friends dear to her. When she wasn't working she enjoyed the outdoors, long walks and nature. She enjoyed preparing meals for family and friends and her potato salad was a hands down 10.
A celebration of her life will be held in her honour on March 10, 2018 from 2 pm- 4 pm at The Cloverdale Legion 17567 57th Ave. Cloverdale B.C.
