Gertrude "Peg" McLellan (nee Kirk)
Artist, nurse, confidant, club and camp leader, Sunday school teacher, crafts master, gardener, ornithologist, community volunteer, prayer warrior, and friend.
Passed away peacefully on Friday, August 26th, 2005 in Surrey, British Columbia. Born in Peterborough, England on November 17, 1919. Predeceased by her husband Clyde "Mick" McLellan (1981), and brothers John "Jack" and Kenneth Kirk.
Peg will be missed by her children Stuart (Sharon), Keith (Peggy), Heather Thiessen (Rick), stepchildren Frances Gandy (Lee), Jaqueline Elkins, Jim (Lainey), eight grandchildren, nine step grandchildren, two great grandchildren and eighteen great step grandchildren.
A public grave side committal will begin Friday, September 2, 2005, at 9:30 a.m. at Valley View Memorial Gardens, 14644 72 Ave. with a memorial-home going Celebration of Life to follow at Johnston Heights Church, 9612 152 Street at 11:00 a.m.
