After a courageous battle with cancer, Glen passed away peacefully with his family by his side at Laurel Place Hospice in Surrey on Wednesday, July 9, 2008, at the age of 64 years. Glen was predeceased by his parents, Carl and Eva, and younger brother Ralph. He is survived by his beloved wife of 38 years, Catherine; daughter Tonya (Ralph); grandson (and fishing buddy,) Curtis; granddaughter (his little Princess,) Chantelle; sister Carol (Ed); brother Ron (Dora), and many other family members and friends. A special thanks to all his friends that were there til the end. Also, our thanks to Dr. Fransen, Dr. Klimo, and the oncology and chemotherapy team at Lion's Gate Hospital; the caring staff at the palliative care unit of Surrey Memorial Hospital and Laurel Place Hospice. A Celebration of Glen's life will be held at his daughter's home on Saturday, August 9, 2008, at 2:00pm. In lieu of flowers, a donation in Glen's memory to the Oncology Department at Lion's Gate Hospital or the Surrey Hospice Society would be greatly appreciated by the Holt family.
