Glenda Kathleen Scott
We are sorry to announce Glenda passed away peacefully in her sleep the morning of November 6, 2017 at Nanaimo Regional General Hospital after bravely fighting cancer for the past 14 months.
A strong and resilient woman, Glenda had already defeated cancer once earlier in her life against all odds before being diagnosed with a different form of cancer last year.
Glenda was predeceased by her father, Glen. She is survived by her husband, Rick, two sons, David and Michael, mother, Kasey, and brother, Garth.
A devoted and loving wife, mother, daughter and sister, Glenda lived for her family.
Glenda grew up in West Vancouver until she and her husband moved to Burnaby in 1974 followed by a move to Surrey in 1978. She worked as a Registered Psychiatric Nurse prior to starting a family in 1988. In 2017, she and her husband fulfilled a lifelong goal of moving to Vancouver Island where they resided in Parksville during her final months.
She loved spending time near the ocean fishing and camping with her family and friends in the summer. Her welcoming, kind and generous spirit will be remembered by all.
No memorial service will be held at this time.
