NEWMAN, Hannah (MacAskill). Born September 9, 1908 in Scotland. It is with great sadness we announce the passing of Hannah Newman of Surrey, on September 1, 2011. Through marriage Hannah leaves daughter, Brenda (Brian) of Langley, son Jim (Ati) of Nanaimo, 7 grandchildren and 8 great grandchildren as well as many nieces and nephews here and in Scotland. She was predeceased by her husband Ernie in 1972, son Raymond in 2003 and all of her siblings. A celebration of her life will be held Friday, September 16, 2011 at 2:30 pm at Northwood United Church, 8855 156th St. Surrey followed by a Tea. No flowers by request, donations to your favourite charity in Hannah's name would be appreciated. Hannah was a beautiful lady, with a heart of gold and was loved by so many. She will be missed by all of us and all who crossed her path.
