LONGFIELD, Howard Fletcher
Born April 30, 1916 in Winnipeg, Manitoba, passed away peacefully on January 7, 2009 in Surrey, BC. Fletcher was pre-deceased by his beloved wife Doris, their son Donald, and their daughter-in-law Gloria. He was also pre-deceased by his siblings Viola, Stan and Ray. Jo-Anne (Earl) White; grandchildren Dale, Amber, Karen (Kelly), Kelley
(Michael); Paul (Keren), Vivian (Andy), and great-grandchildren Richard, Dale Jr, Emily, Megan, Amy, Laura, Erica, Darin and Alicia; nieces, nephews, cousins and their families; plus many dear friends. Fletcher taught at Queen Elizabeth School in Surrey for many years, served in the capacity of principal there, and worked at the school board offices for several years prior to his retirement in 1981. A memorial service will held for Fletcher at Valley View Funeral Home, 14660-72 Ave, Surrey on Sunday, January 25, 2009 at 1:30pm.
