Born in Emmen, Holland, July 15, 1923 passed away peacefully on June 24, 2006. To join his wife Frederika (Rita) de Jong (2002), 2 sons, Hank (1983), Magnus (1981). Jim is survived by his daughters, Wilma de Jong, Yvonne (Mike) Langlois; 5 grandchildren, Cynthia (Darrell), Dan (Chelsey), Mat, Jagger, Danika. Many thanks to Dad's friends & neighbours who helped in the last four years. My family would like to also thank the staff at S.M.H. Palliative Ward, as well as the staff at the Shirley Dean Pavillion in Surrey during this difficult time. A celebration of life will be held at 13430-60th Ave Friday, June 30, between 2-5 pm. In lieu of flowers donations in memory of Jacob de Jong, Surrey Hospice Residence, 13750-96th Ave, Surrey, B.C. V3R 1Z2 would be greatly appreciated.
