HALICKI, James Joseph. Born March 18, 1934, passed away peacefully Saturday, June 25, 2005. Berit and his 3 sons were with him during his courageous battle against cancer. He is predeceased by his father Frank and brother Carl.
Jim will always be loved and missed by his mother Annie, sister Irene, sister-in-law Nancy, Berit, sons Jim (Celeste), Ray (Lila), Kevin (Tomi). Grandchildren Brett, Lynn, Ashley, Brittany, Amane, many nephews and nieces, and his extended family Nancy and Michael and Julia. Jim also had 5 grand dogs that he loved and cherished, and they will miss their visits with him and the Scooby snacks.
After his retirement in 1990 from the CNR, where he worked for over 38 years, he became a proud and dedicated member of the Newton Seniors Society. He volunteered tirelessly fundraising, serving as a member of the council, and working hard for all his friends in the community.
The family would like to especially thank Dr. Kalsi, and the gifted and caring staff of the Shirley Dean Pavilion, Surrey Memorial Hospice.
Memorial Service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Monday, July 4, 2005 in Valley View Funeral Home, 14660 - 72nd Ave., Surrey. Reception to follow.
