April 14, 1942 - August 16, 2018
Janice Lynne Cormack was born April 14, 1942 in New Westminster. A display of Irish fortitude eight years later in midwinter 1950; had Lynne, her brother Larry and sisters Robin and Jo Anne traveling the old Fraser Canyon in the rumble seat of a coupe driven by parents Bob and Flo Cormack to their new job as owners of Fraser Lodge on Sugar Lake near Lumby, B.C.

Lynne graduated Vernon High school then attended Vernon Business College and was later hired on at CNR Vernon as the office steno. Lynne was married in Vernon on February 1966 to Royal Banker Ted Bradshaw. Multiple bank transfers first moved the couple to Victoria where Lynne worked at the Empress Hotel moving up from steno pool to executive secretary to the manager. Then to Vancouver where Lynne rejoined CNR, rising quickly within the company to become Confidential Secretary for the Manager of Western Canada until leaving to raise son Michael and daughter Lisa. When the children were in school Lynne earned her Real Estate license and joined Ted selling homes in North Delta and Surrey. At one time Lynne owned her own finance company and an income tax preparation service. Lynne was an astute business woman who went out of her way to treat employees and clients with care and consideration. Lynne and Ted retired in 2005, selling the businesses to the employees.

Lynne was an avid skier testing the slopes at Whistler, Manning, Silver Star, Mount Bachelor and Mammoth Mtn. Lynne loved to travel and was in Paris for her 60, 65 and 70th birthdays. She also enjoyed good wine, traveling to Spain, France and Germany to visit vintners and sample the wines.

Many thanks go to Dr. Gillian Gibson who has successfully treated Lynne for Chronic inflammatory demyelinating polyneuropathy and effectively gave Lynne an additional 34 years of having a near normal body. Thanks also to all staff at Surrey Memorial Hospital who provided compassionate care during Lynne's intense yet fast battle with pancreatic cancer keeping her a pain free and comfortable until this woman of grace and beauty passed on August 16, 2018.

Lynne is survived by her husband of 52 years, Ted, son Michael (Laura and Jamie), daughter Lisa, sisters Robin and Jo-Anne, and brother Larry.

A celebration of life will be held at a later date. To ensure your notification please send your e-mail address to "jaylin2@telus.net". In lieu of flowers please send donations to the bursary set up in Lynne's name at Vancouver General Hospital Neuromuscular Diseases Unit.
