Born September 14, 1916 in the Netherlands and passed away peacefully in Chilliwack, BC on December 10, 2008. She is predeceased by her first husband Pieter de Bruin. Johanna is survived by her companion Jeep van der Schoot; step-son Jan de Bruin; and many extended family and friends, both in Canada and the Netherlands. She will be dearly missed by her partner, family and friends.
A Funeral Service will be held on Wednesday December 17, 2008 at 2:00 pm at Arbor Chapel, Valley View Memorial Gardens 14660 72nd Avenue, Surrey, BC with a burial to follow. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Johanna's memory to the Chilliwack Hospital Building Fund
