DYSTE: Lawrence (Lorne) Sven. Born December 25, 1929, was called home to be with his Lord Jesus on April 3, 2010 in Surrey, BC. Predeceased by his father Lars, mother Mary and sister Eileen. Lorne is survived by his loving and devoted wife of 56 years Gladys, sisters Thelma (Dave), Clara, daughter Carol (Jim), son Jim (Bonnie), grandchildren Shawn (Angela), Ben Stephen, David (Crystal), Cathryn and great-grandchildren Josiah and Kaylie. Lorne will be remembered as a loving man with a gentle heart and a wonderful sense of humour. Lorne built a successful career at Pan-Abode in Richmond, as owner if Irly Bird in Richmond and working at Irly Bird in White Rock. In lieu of flowers, donations to Gideons International in Canada would be appreciated. A Celebration of Lorne's life is planned for 11:00 am on Thursday, April 8, 2010 at Peace Lutheran Church 2029 Ware Street, Abbotsford, BC with a Reception to follow.
