With profound sadness, the family of Madeleine Addison announces her unexpected passing on October 6, 2016. A beloved wife, mother, grandmother and friend, Maddie died following a brief illness at age 69. She is survived by husband Garry, sons Bill, Jeff and Steve, and grandchildren Owen, Jayda, Jenna, Cohen and Sadie. Maddie immigrated from England at age 20. She met Garry, and eventually settled in North Delta. After taking time to raise her young family, Maddie spent 30 years working for a variety of organizations, including Deltassist Family and Community Services, Pacific Immigrant Resources Society, Mosaic, and Canadian Mental Health Association. After retirement, when not doting on her five grandchildren, she traveled the world, attended concerts and nurtured relationships with her close friends.
