Mother passed away in Langley after a year long battle with cancer. She is survived by her daughters Janice of Pitt Meadows and Joanne (Maurice) of Langley, 5 grandchildren, and 9 great-grandchildren, three surviving sisters; Anne of Surrey, Betty of Edmonton, Margaret of Regina and brother Norman of Camrose, and many nieces and nephews.
Mom was a retail clerk for 35 years, working most of her life at High Low Foods in Whalley and retiring from Extra Foods at Surrey Place.
She was a fan of all sports and very active in the curling community, playing until her 80's. Mom was also very involved in slo-pitch, playing into her 70's then becoming the ultimate score keeper and supporter of softball. She was also a member of the Whalley Legion and their Ladies Auxiliary.
The family will celebrate Myrtle's life at a later date. In lieu of flowers, please make a donation to the charity of your choice.
