March 27, 1948 - February 15, 2019
After a valiant battle with throat/tongue cancer, Norman Edward Sopel passed away 15 February 2019 in Langley, BC, with the love of his life, Barilyn, and his two daughters, Dana and Jaime, at his side.

He was born 27 March 1948 in St Paul's Hospital in Vancouver to parents Mike & Annie (Pedley), both deceased.

As well as his two daughters, Dana (Bill) and Jaime (Keith), he also leaves behind grandsons Brandon, Dallas, and Darion.

On 17 September 1999, Norman married his third wife, and love of his life, Barilyn Irving. After a three-year, long distance courtship, he had finally convinced her to leave Alberta and move to BC. They have shared 19 wonderful years together.

Norman worked at Davis Wire for 34 years before retirement.

He enjoyed traveling, reading, and spending time with his family. Norman will be missed by all that knew him. He was an amazing Husband, Father, Grandfather, and friend to all. We will never forget his silliness, love, laughter, and kindness.

His funeral will be Thursday, 21 February 2019, at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints, 30635 Blueridge Drive, Abbotsford, BC.

Norman, you are always in our hearts and you will always be loved.
