On July 10, 2008, our beloved mother passed away in the company of her family. She was born in Bowsman, Manitoba, on August 29, 1933. She will now join her father and mother, John and Anna Timchishin, sisters Pearl and Zenia and brother Harry. Our mother was a strong woman who was extremely proud of her four children, whom she raised independently. She always gave generously of her time as a volunteer to many organizations. She was proud to be a long time standing member of the Ladies Auxiliary at the Royal Canadian Legion, Branch No. 229. Our mother enjoyed working side by side with her cherished friends at the Ladies Auxiliary. She will always be loved and dearly missed by her children John (Alexandra), Stacey, Kelly, Ron (Theresa); grandchildren Rylan and Adam; sisters Mary and Helen; brothers Bill and John; along with many nieces and nephews. Sadly, Mom will not be with us to welcome the birth of John's and Alexandra's first child, due at the end of July. Over the past two years our mother spent many days at Surrey Memorial Hospital and her family wishes to thank the staff, especially those on Ward 3E. We also wish to thank Dr. Patrick Huang and Dr. David Luk for their care and compassion. A funeral will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, July 19, 2008 at Victory Memorial Park Funeral Centre, 14831 - 28th Ave., Surrey, BC with visitation at 10:00 am before the Funeral. Following the Service, family and friends are invited to a tea at the Royal Canadian Legion, 13525 - 106 Ave., Surrey, BC. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Surrey Memorial Hospital Foundation.
