SCHENKEVELD, Olga (Terry)
A supportive mother, loving grandmother, and devoted friend. She was a woman with a strong will, determination, bigheartedness and the uncanny ability to love and forgive all. We, her family, are sorry to say, Terry passed away peacefully in Surrey Memorial Hospital on Friday, Feb. 23; two days after celebrating her 74th birthday with family and friends.
Terry was born into a family of ten in Derwent, Alta. Predeceased by her parents, John and Mary Bezushko, husband, Carl A. Schenkeveld, brother, Peter Bezushko and loving partner William E. Cox. Survived by sisters, Anne Ducharme, Millie Novacluse, and brothers; Stan (Stella), Mike (Doreen), Walter (Mary) and Edward; children Don (Shirley), Richard (Cathy), Sandra (Mike), Gary (Caroline), Ken (Inis) and Cindy (Rob), 9 grandchildren, 1 great grandchild, as well as many nieces, nephews and cousins. She had many life long friends whom she treated as family. Terry, a truly elegant lady, leaves us with great pride and a legacy that will carry on for generations to come. Memorial to be held Saturday March 3, at 10:00 am (viewing available at 9:00 am), at Fraser Heights Funeral Home, 14835 Fraser Hwy, Surrey.
