Orlene Emma Minion passed away March 12, 2005 in Peace Arch Hospital at the age of 86. She was born June 13, 1918 in Weyburn, SK., She attended school in Pangman and Silver Creek Park.
Orlene served in the navy from 1943 to 1946. Upon discharge she was employed in Regina, Melfort and Vancouver. For several years she was secretary of the Royal Canadian Legion, Richmond branch.
Orlene is survived by her brother Ken (Fern); sisters-in-law, Hazel Hanson and Vi Minion, many nieces and nephews and special friend, Marguerite Stewart and family. Orlene was predeceased by her parents Albert and Emma Minion, brothers, Nelson and George, sister Nita and brother-in-law, Harold Tennison.
Orlene took special interest in her yard and enjoyed her flowers. In her earlier years she solved many crossword puzzles and played a very competitive game of crib. The family would like to express their gratitude to the many care professionals who provided comfort and care for Orlene. No funeral by request
