Paul Quinn

Paul Quinn died peacefully in Hospice on August 27th, 2018 in Surrey, BC at the age of 62, after a courageous 6 year long battle with cancer, defying many odds.

Paul is survived by his wife, Lori Quinn; children, Kelly Quinn, Brittany Danroth (Steven), Natalie Burke (Randy), Nicole Quinn and Sean Quinn; grandchildren Hudson Burke, Houston Burke and Brock Danroth; and siblings Maureen Kahnert (Pat), Joanne Anderson (James) and Elaine Webb (Rollie), in addition to countless nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by his parents, Louise Ranger and William Quinn; and siblings Patricia Quinn and William Quinn.

Born in Montreal, Paul moved to Toronto for schooling and hockey before settling down on the West Coast as a young adult. Paul was an award winning and accomplished Realtor, with 37 years of real estate experience. Working at Re/Max for 34 years, 8 days a week, Paul attained numerous lifetime achievement awards, including grossing the highest earnings in FVREB multiple times. Although, if you asked him, his greatest accomplishment was his family. He was as generous as he was driven and without a doubt was the most philanthropic, hardest-working man you ever met. Any room he walked into, he owned and was easily recognized by a sharp, smart cologne, confident footstep and impeccably tailored suit.

Exuding the confidence (and appearance) of an old time Italian gangster. Paul was a man who could leave you feeling more protected and welcome than you have in your entire life with just a smile. He will be remembered as an energetic, brilliant, fiercely loyal man who put his family above all else.

A Celebration of Life is scheduled for October 6th from 4:00-7:00 pm at Northview Golf Course. All are welcome to attend and celebrate Paul's life. In Paul Quinn fashion, it was his wishes that this be a "party," so we ask instead of wearing black, please wear your favourite colour.

In lieu of flowers, please send donations to the Peace Arch Hospital Foundation, Surrey Memorial Hospital Foundation, or Vancouver Hospital Foundation. The family is forever indebted to these three amazing institutions, where Paul received the utmost care and dedication. The family would like to sincerely thank the efforts of Dr. Stephen Chung, Dr. Bert van Donkersgoed and Dr. Cal Andreou for exceeding all expectations and providing exceptional care and support. Paul was incredibly blessed to not only have you as his Doctors, but also as his friends.
