June 14, 1959 - November 28, 2024
Pete, brother to Vicki & Donna, brother-in-law to Rodger, uncle to Serena, Jimmy, Stephen & Mayo and friend to many, lost his long battle with cancer last November. He was predeceased by our parents Pete (the 2nd) & Shirley Cordoni.
Born & raised in Surrey, Pete lived most of his life in the Lower Mainland in the warm circle of our very large extended family and his dedicated lifelong friends. Highlights of his work career were working at the Coast Guard with Uncle Bunk, limousine chauffeur/bodyguard, broadcast communications (film), aqua fitness instructor, life guard, Tai Chi instructor and yoga instructor. His work in fitness instruction specialized in supporting people with physical challenges, which reflected his personal experience with a knee injury. Pete was a lifelong learner and followed in family footsteps of involvement in current affairs and looking out for others. He had an aptitude for First Aid, received multiple certifications and volunteered at many community events. He moved to the Okanagan in 2016, where he lived at the time of his death.
There will be a Celebration of Life to share memories on Sunday, July 13 at 1 pm at the Lions Hall in Fort Langley. Please contact Vicki thegees@look.ca If you aren't able to attend in person, we'd love for you to send us your stories about Pete. We have been overwhelmed by the outreach we've received from people whose lives he touched.
